Aero Technium MgS XSD

The Aero Technium MgS has a reputation as the ultimate big-pit long-cast reel. A unique reel equipped with Shimano’s latest and groundbreaking long-cast technology, including a longer 45mm spool and the slowest spool rotation ever developed. The list of features is remarkable, and the full arsenal of Shimano’s long-casting technologies is put to use here. The Aero Technium MgS is Shimano’s ultimate Big Pit reel and unrivalled in terms of casting distance. Any angler who refuses to compromise when choosing a Big Pit reel and seeks only the best of the best will find exactly what they’re looking for in the new Aero Technium MgS. In its never-ending quest for perfection, Shimano has redefined the future of ultra-long-range Big Pit reels, combining a radically new spool design with the world-famous Super Slow 10 Oscillation line lay for the first time.

A combination you can see and feel, especially when you catapult your rig towards the horizon. Yet it scores points not only with its unrivalled casting distance and technological superiority, but also with silky-smooth rotation and brute power when reeling. The list of technologies used is remarkable: every available Shimano technology has been incorporated into it. An incredibly light yet extremely robust HAGANE body made of magnesium. A maximum-strength HAGANE gear system with X-SHIP, Infinity Drive and Silent Drive for outstanding cranking power, smooth running and durability, as well as a one-piece titanium bail arm that guides the line perfectly onto the spool.

Furthermore, the internal components are protected against water ingress by X-Protect. The most remarkable feature is the 45mm spool with Super Slow 10 Oscillation, which significantly minimises line friction during casting. To achieve even greater casting distance, Rigid Cast increases the strength of the shaft to minimise any flexing under extreme load. Shimano’s new and ultra-slim flagship model with extreme long-distance casting performance and precision. Cast Far, Cast Accurate
